Abstract

The cuff tear arthropathy (CTA) is a well-defined clinical entity characterized by different stages. Treatment options largely changed in the last decades. Reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) remains the best option for late stages; however managing bone wear remains a major challenge. Advancement in technology and a better understanding of the surrounding pathology as well as risks linked to standard procedures led to more precise preoperative planning and various surgical techniques. The aim of the present chapter is to provide an overview on pathology, classification, and treatment of CTA with bone loss.
