Abstract

Internal positioning is one the motivating research area and supports specific technologies, various sorts of internal positioning systems are developed. An indoor positioning system (IPS) could be a system accustomed discovers folks or things inside a building or during a barred setting by victimization magnetic fields, radio waves or any other sensory information. IPS has become unavoidable in locations like hospitals, searching malls and the other indoor locations. Ultra-wideband (UWB) could be a close-range radio technology that is employed for interior positioning that has very vast frequency vary of bandwidth 500MHz. AN UWB indoor positioning system, that is the finest among internal position technologies, has explained in this paper. A UWB RTLS (Real Time Location system) consists of anchors and tags. The tags square measure movable devices whereas anchors square measure static in position.The DWM1001 module operates using Two-Way-Ranging (TWR) Decawave RTLS (DRTLS). The results of UWB IPS are obtained from the DRTLS android application after setting up the configuration of anchors and tags in indoor area. The parameters like sampling rate and time interval can be optimized manually in DRTLS android application. The observations were taken from an indoor area of dimensions 8x8 m. The results were recorded before and after changing the parameters manually. There was 60% reduction in the error after optimizing the parameters manually.
