This kind of development implies an economic model in the form of green economy and this kind of economic policy has become a common goal of all the countries in the world. For this purpose many countries decided to fulfill energy production by using renewable energy sources instead of fossil fuel. Renewable energy sources are wind, sunlight, hydropower and geothermal and wind is in the lead in order of priorities. Thus we focused on the wind energy concept which is an important factor in the context of the study and in this regard we examined th e current situation of wind energy in Turkey. Consequently we evaluate what we have done and what we can do to reach the future goals for wind energy in Turkey
