Heart of Violence: Global Racism, War, and Genocide

Abstract

In the 21st century, our problem is seeing war and genocide as natural and inevitable, and even worse: not even seeing, not even noticing, but ignoring war, mass killings and genocide. Such act and thought, fueled by global racism, reveal that racial inequality has advanced from the establishment of racial hierarchy and institutionalization of segregation, to the confinement, exclusion, and elimination of those considered inferior through genocide. This article, by examining global racism since 2000, the new century, explores the new terms of exclusion and the path to permanent war and genocide as pivotal to defining global antiracist confrontation as a way to struggle against racism, the struggle of the 21st century.
