Abstract

On 15 August 2012, USA Today reported that "aha moment" had been included in a list of new words being added to Merriam Webster's Collegiate ® Dictionary in the year 2012 (http://content.usatoday.com/ communities/entertainment/post/2012/08/oprah-has-a-moment-in-the-dictionary/1; accessed on 25 August 2012 and http://www.merriam-webster.com/info/newwords12. htm; accessed on 25 August 2012). This word originated in the late 1930s, was popularized by modern day television, and symbolizes "a precise point in time in which one has sudden understanding of or insight into something," as defined by Merriam Webster (http://nws.merriam-webster.com/opendictionary/ newword-display-alpha.php?letter=Ah; accessed on 25 August 2012).
