Abstract

Evidence-based medicine techniques can be utilized to manage the ever-expanding medical information database. The Sanford School of Medicine of the University of South Dakota has identified "Evidence-Based Medicine" as an institutional priority. Both students and practicing clinicians need to acquire skills that enable them to access and utilize the best available information in the healthcare of their patients.
