Abstract

The artificial intelligence (AI) has been widely applied in neurosurgery, including risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis judgment of neurosurgical diseases. We are hereby in this chapter discussion some of these applications in daily neurosurgical practice and neuroscience research. The clinical examinations and investigation for patients such as imaging diagnosis, laboratory diagnosis, pathological diagnosis, and diagnosis of medical records are good examples of the use of AI in daily practice. AI demonstrated special values in research as well as it showed; the high-risk factors match the disease prediction model closely via analysis of the general situation of patients with neurosurgical diseases (especially stroke). The real value of integrating AI in clinical research is to contribute to reduce the risk of stroke and may be other neurosurgical congenital anomalies.
