Abstract

After the appearance of ultrafast lasers, various emitters were developed to generate mid-infrared and far-infrared coherent light sources. These were called "THz radiation" emitters, and a great deal of attention has been devoted to improve their performance. In this chapter, we summarize mid-infrared and far-infrared light sources that use semiconductor-based materials.
