This research aims to investigate views of academicians on 'distance education application' in postgraduate programs of educational sciences department. In the study 'case study model' which is one of qualitative research models was used. Research group was constructed using criterion sampling that is one of the purposive sampling methods. Therefore interviews were conducted with academicians in Educational Sciences Department. Semi structured interview form designed by researchers were used to collect data. A voice recorder device was used to prevent data loss, then datas collected from the device were decoded to analyze them in NVIVO 10.0 package programme. Both descriptive analysis and content analysis were made. Impressive sentences of participants often were given with direct citations. As a result of the study it was found that thoughts of academicians about distance learning are generally negative, and distance learning is overshadowed by traditional face to face education.
