Abstract

Warehouse logistics business is a combination of warehousing services and terminal services which is provided by port logistics through the existing port infrastructure on the basis of the port. However, if there is little internal contact among the warehouses & ports in one company, then unnecessary competition will rise up. In order to deal with the competitive relationship among them, this paper carries out an optimization on warehouse & port logistics operation models based on game theory and accordingly solving the optimized model using Genetic Algorithm. We set Sinotrans Guangdong Company as an example to illustrate the newly proposed method. Finally, this paper gives some responses and suggestions for the logistics operation in Sinotrans Guangdong warehouse & port for its future development. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
