Abstract

This article introduces the recent progress in scanning tunneling microscopy atomic manipulation of hydrogen on the hydrogen-terminated silicon surfaces. In particular, physical mechanisms and related phenomena involved in the processes of hydrogen extraction and deposition are discussed.
