In the title compound, [Cd(CN)2(CH4N 2S)2]·H2O, the Cd atom lies on a twofold rotation axis and is bonded to two S atoms of thiourea and two C atoms of the cyanide anions in a distorted tetrahedral environment. The crystal structure is stabilized by N - H⋯N(CN), N - H⋯O, O - H⋯N and N - H⋯S hydrogen bonds.
