Abstract

Erodium janszii Alarcón, Aldasoro, Aedo & Navarro is described as a new species endemic to Southern Australia. Characters allowing discrimination between it and the following species, E. aureum, E. cygnorum, E. crinitum and E. carolinianum, are reported, with particular emphasis on the latter, which is the closest. A detailed illustrated description, as well as a distribution map, are also provided. © 2003 The Linnean Society of London.
