Abstract

The refrigeration is the science of producing and maintaining the temperature below that of the surrounding atmosphere. Insulating material is main component in the refrigeration system. The work of insulating material in household refrigeration system is to restrict the transfer of heat from system to surroundings. Hence, the coefficient of performance of refrigeration system depends on the insulating material. So, the selection of suitable insulating material for household refrigeration system is an important task in order to increase the coefficient of performance of refrigeration system. In this paper, experimental investigation is carried out on the performance of household refrigeration system with nitrile rubber and glass wool against polyurethane foam (PUF). This paper propose, suitable insulating material for the household refrigeration system and which material have high tendency to restrict heat transfer and smart temperature holding capability and smart cop and low energy consumption of the refrigerator.
