Abstract

In this paper, the differential transform method is developed to solve solitary waves governed by Degasperis- Procesi equation. Purely analytic solutions are given for solitons with and without continuity at crest. A Pad́e technique is also combined with DTM. This provides us a new analytic approach to solve soliton with discontinuity. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
