Abstract

Inter-satellite link (ISL) in dynamic satellite network, due to its characteristics like wide coverage area, large population of users, and the motion of satellites in orbit planes, is easy to be interfered with. In order to solve above problems, this paper proposed a dynamic satellite network routing algorithm based on the link scheduling model. First, the geometric characteristics of ISL were analyzed, and the distance, elevation angle, azimuth of ISLs were calculated respectively based on spatial characteristics of constellation. Then we established a time-slot scheduling model of ISL based on TDMA system and proposed a routing algorithm of ISL based on hop threshold with a minimum transmission time. The final simulation results indicated that this routing algorithm can not only reduce the frequency of link switching in the path of information transmission effectively, but also complete most of the information transmission within half a superframe.
