Abstract

Polyoma virus was recovered from the air of an animal laboratory housing mice infected with the virus. Air samples were obtained by means of a high volume air sampler and further concentrated by high speed centrifugation. Total concentration of the air samples was 7·5 × 107. Assay for polyoma virus was by mouse antibody production tests. Airborne polyoma virus was detected in four of six samples. © 1978, Cambridge University Press. All rights reserved.
