Abstract

In this study, a novel formulation of the discontinuous Galerkin method is derived based on peridynamic theory. Derivation of the proposed formulation is presented. Numerical analysis are performed for 2D problems, and results are compared to their respective known exact solutions. Numerical tests are performed at the incompressible limit. The proposed discontinuous Galerkin formulation is found to be robust and successful in modelling elastostatic problems.
