Abstract

This paper examines experiences of collaboration in a teacher education practicum. The reflections on experiences are illuminated metaphorically through considering the student teaching triad as chamber music. This action research report also strives toward being written in a plural voice and as a writerly text. The music metaphor enables an account of the resonances and dissonances: the frustrations, doubts, and discomforts within collaborative projects. Questions are raised about the ways of initiating and sustaining collaboration; and about the form action research accounts can take. © 1996, Copyright Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
