Abstract

Sleep deprivation is a public health problem, and the increase in interactive entertainment products and the stress of daytime life and work have led to sleep disorders in young people. In this study, a 2 anthropomorphic (anthropomorphic vs. non-anthropomorphic) × 2 information framing (positive vs. negative) intergroup experiment was conducted to investigate effective combinations of interactive persuasive interface design, aiming at how to design visual information for health persuasion during entertainment interactions for young users. The results showed that anthropomorphism and information framing both had positive effects on the behavioral intention for healthy sleep. When anthropomorphism was combined with negative framing descriptions, they were more effective in persuading young users to sleep healthily.
