Abstract

Sr2SiO4 and metastable SrSiO3 were formed directly at low temperatures from 3SrO·2SiO2·3H2O prepared by the alkoxy method. The transformation of metastable into stable SrSiO3 was observed at 900–980 °C. A kinetic study was made on the formation of Sr2SiO4.
