Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) and big data have been integrated into everyday life. Neurosurgery, as a highly complexed and cutting-edge clinical subspecialty, has long been connected to machine learning and deep learning, facilitating clinical workflow of diagnosis, surgical treatments and prognostic predictions, and sometimes even technical training and medical education. Here, we summarize current applications of AI in management of neurosurgical disease. We also discuss how AI may help as an important part of neurosurgery in the future.
