Abstract

Augmented reality is a live view of a physical real-world environment, in which elements are augmented by computer-generated sensory on a user’s view of the real world. Mobile refers to portability usefulness of the application itself. Thus, mobile augmented reality application can be referred to as a portable augmented reality application. An interactive augmented reality application is an articulated naturality web; the new convergence of digital technology. The real world can be enhanced by augmented reality application through augmented virtual object into real environment, providing some additional information for users. This paper presents the development of an interactive mobile augmented reality named IMAR for advertising purposes. IMAR implementation has been demonstrated using three selected case studies. From the case studies, IMAR is able to simplify the process of conveying information to the consumers. Applying augmented reality and articulated Naturality web technology in advertising will enhance the consumer’s experience by augmenting the virtual interactive content to be viewed using smart mobile devices. This is an innovative way of advertising which can enrich the advertisement content to attract consumers.
