Abstract

Sedimentary breccias were formed during the break-up of the continental crust, related to the destruction of the Gondwana northern margin, according to an asymmetric rift model. Later on, the crustal fragment was transported northward and, in the middle of the Coniacian, obducted on the Mesotethys active margin. -from Author
