Abstract

Breast cancer is a type of cancer that still affects many women, and is found in both developed and developing countries. Genetic changes of the regulatory genes affect protein expression leading to cancer.  It is known that microRNA has a  role as a major regulator of human genes and  involved in carcinogenesis of breast cancer. MicroRNA-21 (miR-21), microRNA-155 (miR-155) and microRNA-10b (miR-10b) are oncogenic miRNA that trigger the development of breast cancer through inhibition of tumorsuppressor protein. This review will discuss the role, target genes of tumorsuppressor  and their impact on the development, invasion and metastasis of breast cancer. (JKS 2017; 2: 124-130)Keyword: breast cancer, miR-21, miR-155, miR-10b
