Abstract

A concept of the air jet engine of mixed type, which combines the operating principles of detonation engine and traditional ramjet, is proposed. A part of inflow that has the smallest losses of the stagnation pressure at forming shocks in the inlet is burned in the combustion chamber of that device. Another part of the inflow, that has the smaller stagnation pressure, has the significantly higher temperature at the same time. Due to this fact, it can be effectively used as in the detonation engine.
