Abstract

Internet of Thing (IoT) devices changes the life of humans where security plays a major role in communication. Traditional security solutions are unable to provide complete solutions for security threats in IoT. IoT devices are connected to the network that contains limited memory and very minimal computing resources. The ongoing data transmission through IoT devices can be tampered with the devices in unpredictable manner. Bio-inspired techniques are used to solve the security problems of engineering techniques. These bio-inspired techniques are very efficient, effective, and more economical compared to other existing solutions. Detection and prevention of cyber-attacks in IoT are a big challenge. For example, home security cameras and other internet switches do not contain any patches to install often. Another security issue is how to install patches for the billions of devices. To resolve all these issues, this chapter proposes an optimized artificial immune based design technique to provide novel security solutions in IoT. The proposed design framework will suggest the way to attain and satisfy the security requirements by IoT.
