This chapter introduces and proves the linked cluster theorem, which states that the perturbative corrections to the n-th cumulant are determined by all connected Feynman diagrams with n external legs. In constructing the proof, we also extend the diagrammatic notation to cases in which the solvable theory contains cumulants of arbitrary order.
