The COP 21 meeting in Paris held high hopes for global climate governance. Pacific states---among others---pushed very hard for a global commitment to 1.5 {\textdegree}C temperature rise. The resulting Paris Agreement fell short of expectations for Pacific states. The concluding chapter begins by analysing the implications for the Pacific following the landmark Paris Agreement and what the future of regional climate politics may look like. This is followed by a brief summary of the content and main arguments presented in the book and a consideration of future research possibilities.
