Abstract

Hydrogen is a dangerous substance. It is flammable. It must be used according to appropriate safety measures which follow from the state of technology and the applicable regulations. The risks associated with hydrogen are manageable and not greater than the ones associated with other energy carriers. Under the aspect of safety there is no reason for not using hydrogen as energy carrier.
