Abstract

The chapter proposes a new imaging algorithm. This algorithm is suitable for the imaging of extended objects in UWB sensor networks. Its comparison to the conventional range migration algorithm known from GPR or similar applications is given by a simulated example. The example shows disadvantages of the range migration algorithm for imaging in UWB sensor networks. Images obtained by the new proposed algorithm are easier to interpret and their quality is much higher. © Springer Science+Business Media, LLC 2010.
