Abstract

In this book, the paradigm of empirical research is used in which latent variables like knowledge are operationalised on the basis of explicit theoretical patterns that are applied in empirical – qualitative as well as quantitative – research. Chapter 2 discusses an ontogenesis of research on workplace and professional learning and clarifies paradigmatic approaches.
