Abstract

In order to study atmosphere chemical component, a model to depict the characteristic of the absorption process of gaseous pollutant by a liquid aerosol with internal circulation and chemical reaction was established. Based on the finite volume method, SIMPLE algorithm was employed to numerically study the experimental works of Walcek, which indicates that the present models and method are feasible. Then, the transient momentum and mass transfer characteristics of SO2. into a droplet which radius is 5μm were evaluated numerically, and the results indicate that the chemical reaction increases the rate of mass transfer and the quasi-saturated time of aerosols, which provided theory basis for the heterogeneous reaction of liquid aerosols.
