Abstract

This chapter explains the origins of the research study and how its scope developed. It describes how each school worked with girls and how this was judged to have affected their educational achievement. The chapter concludes with an account of the research approach and data collection methods, covering the focus of each set of interviews and the associated ethical considerations.
