Abstract

A combination of interferometric architectures with photonic crystal fiber techniques is a new configuration in the field of sensing technologies. Since photonic crystal fibers have the extraordinary capability of light guiding and confinement, the photonic crystal fiber-based interferometers offer great potential for the realization of novel sensing applications. In this chapter, principal, fabrication, and typical applications of the photonic crystal fiber-based fiber interferometers are reviewed.
