Abstract

In recent decades there has been such a significant change in the most developed societies, that without doubt we can talk about a process of postmodernization. The postmodern critique has shown the failures of modernity and has generated a new wisdom, but has not revealed the same capacity in the creation of alternatives. The pedagogical narratives developed with categories of modern thought are depleted in the new postmodern era, which have radically criticized the entity of reality. Nowadays, the construction of identity is the ultimate source of roots, becoming a reflective responsibility, although aimed to incompleteness. A pedagogical narrative based in identity aims to understand education as construction of personal meaning in culture.
