Abstract

This article proposes to apprehend whistleblowing like an asymmetrical situation giving place to competing definitions, where each involved part tries to impose its view-point and to legitimate at the same time the practices it imply and those which result from this. We study this phenomenon like a particular form of deviance to be more a matter for a sociology of betrayal and break-up affecting the social bond.
