Suggestions are continuously made regarding refinement of the virtual-rounds process: approaching patients prior to planned admission, requiring care teams to set aside a routine period of time every day to do video conferencing, and having the nursing staff become more involved in the video-conferencing process are all methods that may facilitate the integration of virtual rounds into the hospital staff member's daily workflow.
