Abstract

Physiological and psychological adaptation to sport challenges influence the hormonal balance of the body. It is especially true for sportsmen who reach their organisms’ limits. Our knowledge on the endocrine changes provoked by practices of the so-called extreme sports is expanding. Nevertheless only rarely we are able to predict the outcomes of a specific burden in an individual sportsman.
