Abstract

In order to gather location-aware WBAN data and support efficient and analysis services, we propose a location-aware WBAN data monitoring system based on the NoSQL database system with a spatial index. It can manage JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) and Binary JSON (BSON) document data from mobile gateway devices and, by using the proposed spatial index method, the proposed system can efficiently process location-based requests for medical signal monitoring. We developed our system on MongoDB, which is a document-based NoSQL database system, and evaluated its performance.
