This chapter introduces the main concepts relevant to the title and the approach taken in this book. I address communication and discourse, especially in relation to corporations---organisational, corporate, business communication/discourse---and look at selected definitions of business discourse. The economic and political power of transnational corporations and corporate power relations are examined from the point of view of critical management and organisation studies, as well as that of critical discourse analysis.
