The wall properties of coronary arteries are important to the success of vascular interventions. They are also important in the attempts to construct numerical models of the coronary tree as a tool for the inteventionalists to plan the procedures. In the current study we measured and calculated the inelastic mechanical properties of coronary vessels and laid the ground for a working numerical model. © Springer International Publishing Swit zerland 2014.
