This report presents the key points and recommendations that emerged over the course of a two-day international technical consultation on ‘positive prevention’ held in Hammamet, Tunisia on 27-28 April 2009. The consultation was co-organised by the Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), and aimed to: • Gather experiences and knowledge of stakeholders, in particular people living with HIV at regional, national and local levels, at the technical consultation; and to develop a strategy to gather broader views and experiences following the technical consultation; • Develop a set of initial principles on ‘positive prevention’; and • Develop recommendations to facilitate the scale up of programmes and the development of policies
