Abstract

Csp3-I bonds, especially those with β-hydrogen atoms, are a class of challenging substrates for the Pd-catalyzed transformations. The challenges mainly stem from the reluctant oxidative addition of C sp3-I bond with Pd(0) species and the facile β-H elimination for alkylpalladium intermediate. Herein, Pd-catalyzed reactions from unactivated Csp3-I bond were discussed. © 2014 IUPAC.
