Abstract

A 29-year-old female with history of transposition of the great arteries status post Mustard procedure and sick sinus syndrome status post dual chamber permanent pacemaker presents to the emergency room with 3-day history of cough and nasal congestion thought consistent with upper respiratory tract infection. However, the cardiac electrophysiology service is contacted by the emergency room providers because an ECG obtained with the patient lying supine in bed demonstrates atrial pacing at 105 ppm (Fig. 85.1). © Springer-Verlag London Limited 2011.
