Abstract

Collaboration, the art of working together, is an essential part of system development, often learned on the job rather than by academic training. Aspects of collaboration include: tangible and intangible "results" - the fruits of collaboration; community governance - the norms of ownership and usage; and modes of production - the processes for incubating and developing "results". This panel will bring together a diverse set of experts to share their opinions and strategies for collaboration. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2010.
