Abstract

This work analyzes and summarizes the results of the study, which show the level of influence of pressure change rate in an electro-pneumatic brake drive on the braking process of the wheels of a multi-axle vehicle. We have also performed mathematical modeling of the processes that take place in electro-pneumatic brake actuator during braking of a multi-axle vehicle affecting the dynamics of its movement. The purpose the study is to choose a rational rate of pressure change in an electro-pneumatic brake actuator of a multi-axle vehicle in the emergency braking mode. This work shows the effect of the mass of a multi-axle vehicle on deceleration value achieved in the process of braking. Here we also present the results of modeling the processes that take place in an electro-pneumatic brake drive of a multi-axle vehicle. This work also determines the degree of influence of the slope of the road surface on the intensity of braking of the wheels. Here we also describe the method for changing in rate of filling a brake chamber with a working fluid (air) upon modeling operation processes in an electro-pneumatic brake drive of a multi-axle vehicle.
