Abstract

In order to ensure adequate fault-tolerance and lifetime for network, this paper obtains an optimal degree distribution. The optimal degree distribution is used as a target to help design the best network topology, and then the scale-free fault tolerant topology control algorithm with adjustable parameters is proposed. Based on the analysis of the relationship between the algorithm parameters and its degree distribution, the algorithm parameters are also derived accurately. Simulation results show that the scale-free fault tolerant topology generated by proposed algorithm with the certain parameters outperforms the other, it achieves stronger fault-tolerance while prolonging lifetime.
