Gonarthrosis or osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee can be the result of natural degeneration of the menisci and/or the articular cartilage, the consequence of repeated microtrauma (either occupational or sport related), or secondary to injuries, such as a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (which is particularly arthrogenie).
