Abstract

Because of their versatility, adaptability and robustness laser triangulation sensors are widely used in industry /1/,/2/. Sources of measurement error in laser triangulation are fluctuations of intensity and coherence of laser light, surface roughness and damage as well as quantum, photonic and thermal noise of the laser source, CCD-sensors and signal processing electronics.
